The Dalles- A Look Back
NEW
About the Book
This 5x7 photography book offers a natural, earth-toned perspective of my hometown—The Dalles, Oregon—and the surrounding Columbia River Gorge region. Captured between 2009 and 2025, these images reflect the raw beauty, quiet landscapes, and timeless textures that define this corner of the Pacific Northwest.
Unlike my first book, which focused on people, places, and memory, this collection leans into the land itself—the way basalt cliffs, sagebrush, river currents, and sky shape the identity of The Dalles. It’s a love letter to the elements and a visual meditation on home.

Graffiti Street Stories
This is Volume One of Graffiti Street Stories. Volume One takes place in Long Island City, New York, at 5Pointz, which was sometimes referred to as the Mecca of mural and graffiti artists from around the world. When I lived in New York, I spent every day taking pictures of the outside of the building that once stood there and is no longer there. This is my documentation of 5PTZ, Long Island City, New York. Photography by Mike Daugherity.
About the Book
This is Volume Two of “Graffiti Street Stories: Los Angeles.” Los Angeles is my home, and I have spent many years wandering the streets of this vast city. There is a series of age-old murals, dating back to 2014, that you would have to seek out as they pop up throughout the city. This volume showcases just some of what I have for Los Angeles. There will be a Volume Three, “LA Part Three,” but for now, enjoy this addition: the land of murals, graffiti, and installation art. This is Los Angeles. All photos by Mike Daugherity
About the Book
Vancouver, BC, is beautiful. I’m from the Pacific Northwest myself—Portland, Oregon, and The Dalles, Oregon. The murals and art on the streets of Vancouver, BC, are one of a kind. I traveled up for a date from San Diego to BC, stayed for a few weeks, and loved it. Here’s what I captured. All photography by Mike Daugherity, 2025. Thank you, Carita.
