Rocco’s Pizza – Portland, Oregon
This shirt celebrates Rocco’s Pizza, the heart of downtown Portland for nearly two decades. I worked there for five years, and for 18 years the pizzeria anchored a wedge-shaped block of independent businesses at West Burnside and SW 10th Avenue. Its prime spot at one of downtown’s busiest intersections made it impossible to miss—cars and pedestrians alike were drawn to its energy.
More than just pizza, Rocco’s became a cultural landmark. It was the late-night gathering place for locals, artists, and night owls, and it even served as the meet-up spot for Portland’s legendary Zoobombers, who bombed into downtown every Sunday night from the zoo.
Part of the Legends of the Rose City collection, this design honors the flavor, the memories, and the community that made Rocco’s an icon.
